Curious about Hive.io and the related Exxp plugin for Wordpress

I've recently found out about the Hive blockchain and a plugin called Exxp, which connects a given WordPress blog to the blockchain. The plugin page says that the plugin posts articles to Hive, exposing the articles to Hive-connected websites and making a blockchain-based comment system possible. Currency is awarded by upvotes.

My knowledge is very limited on Hive's reach. It seems fairly new, and some of the services built on top of it don't seem to have momentum, just yet. For example, there is a Twitch clone called VIMM.tv, but it doesn't seem to have the volume of users found on either Twitch or Dlive.

Based on the above, can anyone give any insight into whether Hive is worth considering for any purpose? I'm not interested in currency trading per se, but these services built on a blockchain are very interesting. I just want to understand if Hive seems viable at this stage.

Hive is a fork from STEEM, it died out some years ago. There's also blurt orsm that spun from steem.
It used to be good source of income, but not anymore(it seems).
Nowadays try publish0x, medium, read.cash

But you could still have hive plugin but make sure you publish your wordpress posts first and push to hive later when Google has indexed your wordpress blog.
