I'm still trying to figure out why this page of mine is getting so many google organic results, which is a good thing of course. But what have I done?

Code:
http://www.thewebtechreviews.com/2008/09/05/how-to-uninstall-ie-8-beta-and-downgrade-back-to-ie-67

Is it because of the trackback link from the actual source that's boosting my SERP/ranking? :prof01:

Dude you have link 9.5k sitewide links.

Pretty much all there is to it. Also pinging and trackbacks help but you have a good few links so you shouldn't struggle massively to get decent rankings, so long as your contet is decent... which it is.

Well done man just enjoy your success and keep on pumping away.

majority of my organic traffic goes to that page only, but why? That's my question :) Like I said I suspect that trackback link from the source that I linked to has something to do with this result?

I'd say it's simply because a lot of people are simply searching for ways to uninstall IE 8 beta, and your page page ranks highly for related keyword,s because you have decent authority and there maybe isn't too much competition etc, in comparison with the rest of your pages, hence this is your best one.

Use Google analytics, Google Webmaster Tools, Awstats to try and find out the source, as we can only guestimate.

yes i checked google analytics and a lot of uninstall IE 8 keywords searches go to my page so i'm curious why, i guess it could be like you said it doesn't have too much competition.

happened with me also on one of my test auto blogs :) ranked like hell on first spot for a keyword witch other company trying to promote it like crazy :)) ...
