I'm pretty attached to aesthetic things like avatars and siggys... what post limit must I reach for those?
And while I'm on the subject: what are the thresholds I need to meet for other things. I know there's something rad at 50 posts, but haven't seen any conclusive information?:amish:

Anyone?

Thank you, kind sir. This is exactly what I was looking for. Could be a bit more detailed, though.

What different post limits allow what. Not just the ranks.

Everything you need to know in regards to this question is on the link Duffers posted.

If it's not there, it's not here.

Forums aren't videogames with achievements and trophies.

Are you here for business, is there a specific piece of information you'd like to know, or would you like to play a game?

15 posts to private message other members. 50 (I believe) to change your avatar...been too long to remember that one. 100 quality posts and 60 days to buy Jr. Vip and get a signature or pay to become a donor and get a signature right away. I think that covers your questions.

@OP That's all you'd need. Though there can be changes in some cases. For instance, some people don't get avatar even after they complete posts but you need to be patient because the forum demands you to post "Quality stuffs" rather than any rubbish. Cheers :)

No one seems to have mentioned this so I thought I'd let you know that once you reach 1000 posts you will get a free trial of the Jr VIP membership by clicking the http://www.wowomg.com.

Some of you need to chill out, we are legitimately interested in making the forum as transparent as possible for members. This means that people need to be able to bring issues to our attention without getting lectured. If someone is out of line I will take care of it, believe me.

Regarding post count, posts in the lounge don't count towards your post total. The 'quality posts' requirement for BSTs is subjective and is determined on a case-by-case basis by the moderator that reviews it.

Lecture? Monday Morning Lecture:

Perhaps OP will make a journey thread soon, but thankfully he won't be flamed for it, because so many people have already been hardcore flamed for journey threads that the Admins found it wise to create the IM Journey section to both quench the internet-hate as well as silencing the chipper folk making these journeys that led nowhere. To further my claim of their wisdom, the Admins of old found it wise to gather Frequently Asked Questions into a single section colloquially referred to as FAQ.

The FAQ section, the link Duffers posted (the post GreyWolf spent his time making), and other threads/posts address this exact same topic.

No less than 3 users answered OPs question. Was there any feedback or gratitude from OP that he understood or appreciated any of the help that he wasn't entitled to, but was granted anyway? No. This became a joke of a thread.

No favors are being done for the OP by telling his peers to back off. This is IM, not bible camp. He got his answer with respect and the type of answers equitable with the maturity of the question posed.

The mantra of this forum(ad nauseum to an extent, surely) has been for people search for their information. This is simply good life practice and it reduces clutter and server load. Think about the reduced bandwidth and saved $. New users to Super Admins have lectured many OPs' to use the search bar instead of creating the same threads over and over again. How is this different? No one was even being srs here.

You didn't ask these kinds of questions OP asked or made these threads when you started here, or anywhere I'd imagine, nor did I. Composure.

This site hasn't become DP because of the brotherly horizontal-oriented discipline that doesn't require an escalation the issue for something as mundane as this was, as opposed to circle jerking that goes on over there and the allowing of unprofessional nonsense to perpetuate. Bans are a last resort, and always should be. I think we remember a few users who got BERATED, and all of a sudden turned their game around and became pillars of the community.

A talking to builds character. Babysitting creates people asking to be spoonfed and will lead to nothing positive for the forum in the long run. We know this.

Don't get soft on crime, s0ap. The site needs you, we need you, Colonel "Kernel" s0ap.

And, let's count our blessings here: at least this wasn't asked in wickedfire or else the OP would have been told to kill himself via scorpion stings to the eye.
