How long do the people stay on the page after clicking. Are you measuring the bounce rate as well or just the clicks?

no, I dont montior bounce rates. About 1-2 minutes.

Update: it is 17th day of CTR campaign . What I observe is overseas SERPS are improving, lots of keywords which were nowhere has entered top 60-70 , some top 20. US SERPS is a bit lagging. I guess this because google gives more emphasis to English serps.

It's 18th day of CTR and there are some good news. Keyword which had the most impressions hopped from position 31 to position 11 overnight (in USA). Also there are some other keywords which appeared in gsc (from nowhere to top 100)

no, it means 5 people search for my keywords on google, find my website, click it, spend time and do pageviews. That increase CTR + User Behaviour metrics
 
This is the new frontier when it comes to SEO because the expired domain game is pretty much over.

It's only a matter of time until Google becomes even more sensitive and even more punitive.

I really see it as a race to the bottom.

You can basically try to push off the ultimate decline of your sites' rankings by setting up clean link networks, but that's still quite a gamble.

Maybe the better approach from a blackhat perspective is CTR manipulation.

This is not exactly new.

But given the fact that starting with RankBrain, Google is factoring in the user experience and user behavior in ranking sites.

This may be the way to go in the absence of backlinks.

Are backlinks completely irrelevant?

I think only time will tell.

You have to understand that Google uses artificial intelligence and machine learning.

I'm sure their holy grail is to rank sites based on user experience, user behavior, and on-page content with little to no input from links.

I'm not sure if we're quite there yet.

But given how quickly AI technology has evolved over the years, I strongly believe we will get there sooner rather than later.
 
Do you have your ppl click on the first few competition results and bounce right back, going down the list until they arrive at your site, to simulate regular human activity or do you make them go straight for your site? Cause if you have like 5 daily clicks on 3rd page results every day, it would look completely unnatural.

No, so far I used only branded and URL keywords to homepage. Which ranks in top 10, going o try direct keywords too soon.

Update, it is 1 month of CTR Manipulation and overall it has added a good boost to the site, new terms are appearing now and then, which I doubt would came if it was not performed CTR boosting. The thing I wait is a sudden "boost" in rankings ( lets say 40-50 postions forward), this thing I observed on my other sites which were performed CTR, but on this one it still didn't receive this specific boost. Now I increase clicks 2x, from today's I will be sending 10 clicks/day, lets see how it goes.
 
My personal experience has been so far for serps and a GMB service area business. With English keywords.

Serps direct keywords would easily get high rankings in non English countries. US serps would slowly increase but stop after awhile. Might be a content issue. Stopping does not results in ranking drops for money keywords.

I have haulted some money keywords and focusing more on branded. Going to resume money keywords at a lower rate. See what happens.

Despite the microworkers being overseas. They do impact the SAB. The rankings do vary a lot based on devices and browser I've noticed. Such as I couldn't find my listing with chrome on my phone but Firefox on my phone I would be rank 1 for the exact same keyword. GEO grids would dramatically change up and down from week to week. Hard to say the results here. Might be a lot more effective for a brick and motor store.
 
Started with SeoIsArt's service 5 a day for a month. Some with GMB and some with SERP. Second month started some money keywords. Both GMB and SERP. 3rd month reved it up to 10. This month I dropped it down with 5 with GMB at Seols but doing some at microworkers. The duration is lower on the site but doing what I want done. Still using Seols for GMB.

As much as this could be a very interesting case study, the fact that you have a conflict of interests makes any insights you get dismissible.

Would you trust a study done by a drug company testing the effectiveness of the drug it's manufacturing? Neither would I.

There's a good reason studies should be made by independent sources that have no personal interest in the results of the test.

I'm not saying that you fake or will fake
your results, but that your case study will always have an asterisk because you can't separate your personal gain from it being successful.
 
It is 36th day of CTR, about 3-4 days I started now to send 10 clicks/day instead of 5, and I see a good boost on website. Many New terms appearing and terns which were not in top 100 suddenly popping off both for homepage and inner pages. Sharing some screens of new terms from GSC.

Update on mine, I have been running CTR between Microworkers and SeoIsArt now since February.

Some key things I have been noticing:
  • Backlinks still play a role
    • Internal pages without links will get a bump when searched but will struggle in the top 20.
      • Backlinks will help get it into the top 10. Traffic rates will help rank higher in the top 10.
  • Content quality will still play a role
    • Page without external backlinks was ranking well for non English but US was struggling at 25-27. Content rewrite bumped it to 16-17.
      • This page still has no backlinks I plan on waiting another month before building links to it.
  • Google Maps for SAB (service area business)
    • Multiple reporting tools do show increasement
      • Live searching shows different results based on browser used.
      • Requires a lot of different search terms
        • Most worker platforms are not well equipped to keep cycling through a large list of keywords.
      • Rank does fluctuate a lot
