when you are ranking in top 3, it might impact your rankings. If your think otherwise, its not going to help you much.

I have never tried on GMB, but you can always split this thing and see if it actually works.

he literally said that he never tried,
links are better long term wise, it's good enough for websites with low volume valuable traffic, think of it as high CPM kind of niches

Getting clicks might give a short boost, but real success comes from good links. The workers don't have to be from your country, but they should be good at what they do

It work's only for the short period of time , google may penalize you soon if they found.

Based on my my knowledge, CTR manipulation will not help you for long term, Instead you can focus on quality over quantity.

CTR Manipulation helps for short period of time
It is less effective and less sustainable than link building
It is not mandatory that the micro workers should be in same location but they could understand the language and cultural context of the audience that might help your site

It is costly as well as time taken compared to backlinks. I would opt for organic backlink in this case.

CTR manipulation may bring in traffic but only for short period. If Google finds out, you may get penalized for this activity.
