CTA links on Infographics

I googled this, but it only shows results on how to create backlinks through viral infographics.

I wanted CTA links ON the inforgraphic itself.

Can image files contain links like that? Or maybe specific image file types?

I wanted to post my infographics on forums, imageboards, etc. and have people click on my affiliate links.
