Call me crazy but I see a correlation between Bitcoin price and the S&P VIX.
Every time the markets are rattled by some political or worldwide tsunami, the S&P VIX goes higher and Bitcoin seems to go with it.
A few minutes ago it matched Bitcoin variation almost exactly https://www.investing.com/indices/volatility-s-p-500
