Cryptopia Claim

Hi

I received information about trying to recover some funds after the collapse of Cryptopia.

Is this legit?

Did anyone else receive this?

I filled in the form but the questions to recover my account are impossible. How much EXACTLY did I have in my account? How do I know?

what coins did I own? I used this and it would not allow my ckaim.

Also the support link did not work?

I’m a bit sceptical.

I received that email as well. I didn't have any crypto on their platform when it was hacked. So I got nothing to recover.

If you don't know how much crypto you had on it, you probably don't need to recover it. If you would have lost 1000 ETH, you would know how much you lost )

Any time someone cold emails you about crypto delete it.

I have also received it... A bit fishy actually... Tried to fill it and as you described, I dont think anyone have answers to those questions.

The questions are probably a filter to find potential targets for the next phase. If you say you had $5000+ on cryptopia, you are targeted because you probably have more crypto now.

Then you get a form to provide details of the addresses you used to transfer funds to cryptopia, or other ways they can find out where you might store crypto now, then finally the last dumb and desperate mfs get asked for either a) sending crypto to get their funds back or b) provide the private keys of an account with crypto in there currently so they can send your funds to you.

There's new/media articles about cryptopia being closed to giving back funds to users too posted recently - social proof that costs a few hundred bucks to put into some b-grade crypto blog to get marks over the line.

Don't trust ANYTHING in the crypto space - too many scamming faggots out there trying to take your coins and using peoples' desperation to get their crypto back as a way of doing it.

This might be legit. Just assume with 99% certainty it's absolutely not and act accordingly.

Nobody will ever email to give you money. Ever. Regardless if it's crypto or not.

I wouldn't trust it..Wouldn't be the first time that there are phishing attempts from Cryptopia

Probably I have received it as well but already deleted it, better to forget and continue. Cryptopia was a big fail.
