Some websites to learn crypto currency from bitcointalk.org 99bitcoin.com
wallets you can use are blockchain, paxful, coinbase, mycelium etc
you should buy bitcoin first
Goodluck

Check out Data Dash on YouTube. His cryptp investing advice is the best I've seen so far for both beginners and intermediate investors. And as far as what wallet to use, if safety is your top concern, I'd recommend a hybrid wallet like Strong Coin since they'll only have a encrypted version of your private keys

bitcointalk.org <--- must!
youtube
reddit
facebook groups

took me 1 week to fully understand it

what is your location? if you're in usa it's as simple as signing up on coinbase.com and buying one of the coins they offer.
if you don't want to store your coins on the website, you can download a wallet. for btc it's on https://bitcoin.org/en/download.
there's hundreds of coins all with their own unique wallet software, all easily found with a google search.

I only got into crypto 29th September but I'm loving it tbh. In my noob opinion, now is a good time to pick up some alt coins cheap as many people seem to have dropped their alt coins to go all in on bitcoin ready for the fork coming up.

Although I do have some cash in Bitcoin, my main bet is the Ethereum network and it has an update coming out on the 17th so again, I think now maybe a good time to pick some up.

There are a whole bunch of crypto subs on Reddit that I read....

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/top/
https://www.reddit.com/r/ethereum/top/
https://www.reddit.com/r/omise_go/top/
https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/top/
https://www.reddit.com/r/Crypto_Currency_News/top/
https://www.reddit.com/r/litecoin/top/
https://www.reddit.com/r/TenX/top/

I am based more towards long term holding rather than day trading/flipping though.

Read Bitcointalk.org and this forum. Buy a bit of the main coins (Ethereum and Bitcoin) and follow them for a bit on Coinbase.

I found that looking through the bitcoin reddit to be a good way to get exposed to information and the community. It's always fun to watch all the FUD with the swings... I like the Coin Mastery Podcast with Carter Thomas, he walks you through his plans and processes with bitcoin and crypto. I've also heard great things about the Bad Crypto Podcast, although I haven't listened to it.

Coinbase offers an easy user interface to get started, although the coins are limited. Cold storage is the way to go for the best security though.

There's way to acquire crypto currency, it's either you get yourself a Bitcoin wallet or go to sites that will let you earn points / coins / virtual currencies like Bitcoin or Satoshi

Use blockchain wallet and invest in Bitcoin, Ethereum and Lite Coin. Forget about other coins these three currencies are best to invest.

Read everything in the crypto section, there is LOADS of info here.

Reddit is a great source of info.

Google is your friend if you want to understand what crypto is, how mining works and so on.

Tips :

do not invest more than you can chew.
If you put rent money into such a volatile market, you will not make wise decision and you'll end up loosing money.
Never jump unless knowing you do something bad on a "moon train" which took off already without you.

Do not invest on facts, but rumors / announcements. IE: X coin is going to be listed in Coinbase. Don't wait for it to be listed to invest.

Do not invest on weak projects which are flourishing on this market. Basically, I would stay away from 99% of the ICO.

start by reading the bitcoin whitepaper and remembers alts are bad mkay!

try to read more about digital currency, forums, magazine, press release, blogs, youtube, read about ICO's, mining, etc. don't jump into it without having a solid knowledge.

Blockchain possibly the most convenient cryptocurrency wallet i think
