Cryptocurrency section?

I like the idea of making money, however I do not like the doom and gloom type of scenarios which could come of it when it comes to bitcoin. It seems in the scope of things as if Paypal already has this niche covered, by being the direct link and cutting out any sort of .coin as far as regular people are concerned, when trusting money online transactions. Paypal already has this covered.

Of course the benefits of easy transport, encrypted, etc. are all attractive. But you could just as easily find your self fuxored should something zap your thumb drive, or if water floods the basement of your coin's host, or if big powers that be steal them...

With that said I think it will remain a niche for a very long time, similar to aol days when people weren't sure you could even use a credit card online yet. Then one day we will wake up to 'zones' on the map, like las vegas, where the entire mall will also except 'Xcoin' or whatever the trend is. Trendies can then use the latest electronic currency debit card, as it dips more and more in and out of actual cash - with trendy names and logos, until one day, only digital currency. It will only take a few generations to achieve this, as all facets of reality continue on, and nobody even recalls using cash.

I'm voting yes because if you're an internet marketeer any new trend is interesting to you especially one as big as bitcoin.

I don't think bitcoin will become ''too large'' for it to compete with the USD/EURO and such because that would seriously threaten economies and governments and such to a extent they coulden't ignore or allow it.
Therefor I don't think there's a unlimited growth possible for this coin unless more then 50% would be in the hands of the US government or companies.

A bitcoin price discussion would indeed be a big mistake as most of us here are internet marketeers what do they do?
They do all sort of things to mislead people into buying a product some even pump and dump and in the case of bitcoin this is even legal therefor it shoulden't be allowed and gladly you aren't thinking of it.

I think cryptocurrencies have a future in that when one goes down another one can pop up so you'll probably always will have these coins.
Bitcoin on the other hand I don't have the faith in it as it's owned largely by very few investors and with that comes risk.

Selling stuff by bitcoin for your store or other cryptocurrencies is great honestly and hopefully this will have a future.



The real risk with bitcoin is it's so easy to launder money because you simply have to get bitcoin and you can cash it out legally pay taxes and there's no real credible evidence besides the block chain to land you in jail.
Considering the block chain can be altered and such and isn't credible evidence there's no real proof so your money is clean.

There are a few cryto-currencies out there and many altcoins, it be good if we do have a nice section pertaining to coins. I do have vested interests and worked with a few JV Partners hence it is good if I can share my knowledge both in hardware as well as mining platforms.

When every types of earning online methods are discussed then why not cryptocurrency.
Yes there should be a separate section about digital currency.

It's a tentative "yes" vote for me. It's only a matter of time before it gets smacked, but for the time being, it's interesting. I definitely wouldn't accept any type of BitCoin for my clients (they'd run away), but I can see why a lot of people would.

I think its time for BHW Currency. Because BC is overvalued and someday it will crash. But some those, who would accept it for payment, why not..

I think it would be great to have a section for this. Since I don't know a squat about bitcoin I would also like to have a sticky or a section for noobs like me how get get up and running with bitcoin!

Blackhat is a lot about about being at the edge of things. Would enjoy to see a BHW embracing cryptocurrency in its range of topics.

People are very uneducated on bitcoin/cryptocurrency. I become depressed when i read the reasons people think it wont last or about how 'paypal already has this niche covered.' Its more then just a currency. I think a bitcoin section would be great, as long as its not a ton of threads promoting 'The next big alt-coin!' , because i feel there's more and more public awareness but there's not a lot of people who actually know anything about it. bitcoin is revolutionary. #longlivebitcoin

I vote yes. I'm sick of seeing threads about it, so it'd be nice to tuck them all away in a section.

If Bitcoin is supposed to be added here because it's about 'making money online' then the same goes for all online financial trading topics, therefore it doesn't make sense to add bitcoin to this forum.

i think this^ is the most important part. what percentage of incoming threads would be constructive discussion of bitcoin as it relates to IM, vs how much of it has to be moderated.

rules for the section would have to be clearly defined as to what the specific differences are between the types of threads we encourage vs the stuff that gets the banhammer.

i'd say it's worth a test run at least.

Please, none of those stupid alt coins should be discussed either.

The world is rapidly changing and we need to adapt to flourish... It is indeed an excellent decision to have crypto-currency section as BHW houses some of the most brilliant minds.

I think Bitcoin is huge and crypto currency is the third big revolution of the digital information age, im not surprised that lately VISA which initially disregarded crypto currencies as a fad now has been saying that its possible for them to process crypto currencies payments if they wanted to implement it or paypal which always been opposed to bitcoin is now having his president saying bitcoins are fascinating, well they know that descentralized currency and transactions are the end of their business and it will be hopefully. But as some propose I prefer to think of bitcoin as a value storage unit like gold and not a currency as dollars. At the moment is being used as a currency and there is a lot of reputable companies already accepting bitcoins (namecheap, alienware, tesla motors) as form of payment but bitcoins are finite and deflationary and because of this other crypto currencies that are inflationary will be used to make actual transactions when cryptos are mass adopted. Right now the scenario is not clear on how this will be developed as there is talks about bitcoin implementing at some point two-way pegging which will allow holders of bitcoins to create their own currency for transactions, on the other hand we have altcoins which have a broad angle like the Reddcoin which proposes to be the social currency and eventually replace the "likes" on social networks, so instead of liking a youtube video or a content on Facebook you would tip the content with reddcoins. As many of you know, likes and hearts on social platforms are practically a social currency today, and content creators make more money if they have more likes as this pumps their content through the networks, with this in mind reddcoins would be an effective way to monetize your content but skipping the middle man and getting paid instantly to your digital wallet.

There is also some very interesting new altcoins that have a very niche specific proposal like the XXX coin. This coin wants to be adopted by webcam porn sites as their currency, this way instead of using dollars to get private shows you would use xxx coins to tip girls directly to their wallets, making everything more anonymous (big advantage for this type of niche) and cheaper for the end user, as with crypto currencies there is not transfer fees or any of the crap you have to pay when doing fiat transactions.

There is also some ad networks where you can pay and get paid on bitcoins, in the future i don't see so improbable we start getting paid by cpa networks on their own currencies.

The internet has always showed us that its inherent purpose is to descentralize things creating opportunities to learn and grow for more humans everyday, and the crypto currency adoption is just another step in the ladder to a more fair and accesible world. The future of the world economy is an economy predominately based on information instead of resources and crypto currencies are key in this development.
