Excodus is not bad at all. I suggest You keep it on a virtual machine that has connectivity disabled by default and only enable it when you need to send a transaction.
 
Ledger and Trezor are both great secure hardware wallets for crypto newbies! Ledger supports more coins and is easier to use, while Trezor is cheaper and has a touchscreen. Either is a good choice for safe crypto storage. If you're new, Ledger might be a bit easier to start with.

Both are excellent and secure hardware wallets. Ledger offers the Ledger Nano X and S models, while Trezor offers the Trezor Model T and One. For a beginner, either will provide strong security; choose based on your budget and feature preferences
 
Ledger and Trezor both are great options for keeping your crypto safe. Ledger has extra features like staking and a mobile app but its firmware is closed source while Trezor has a simpler interface and open source firmware but less features as compare to Ledger. If you want lots of features Ledger could be the way to go. But if you are new to crypto and want something easier to use Trezor might be better for you.
