Hello all!

I have a crypto law question that I cannot find the answer to and was hoping someone could help me out.

If someone wanted to donate money to charity through me and they paid me a transaction fee, is this illegal?

Thanks in advance!

I don't understand your question. It's not a "crypto law" question, unless your country has some laws that restrict the use of crypto.

We don't know what country you live in.

Are they wanting to claim such a donation to charity for some purpose like their taxes? Or just want to help the charity?

Anyone should be free to give you money for helping them.

It sounds fishy.

If someone wants to donate, they should donate directly.
Even if an argument for doing that is: anonymity, there are tools to make it harder to find the original sender of the 'donation'.

So, there is no reason to pay someone a fee to make a donation. I would stay the f*&^ away from that 'guy'. ;)
