Is it worthwhile making a modest investment in crypto, say £500, or is it only really suited to those with higher amounts to play with?

Think about the value of your time.
I'd say, if you'll be losing sleep or time over the investment, it's not worth it, unless you want to do it for learning purposes. If you want to invest and forget then sure, it could be worth it in 5-10 years.

definitely worthwhile and depending on the coin you can make a killing

just imagine you got into ETH when it was $200 a coin

you could've rode that up to $4,000+

look into HEX/ADA right now if you want some good gains in the future trust me you'll thank me later

It's a moonshot.

If you can afford to lose those 500 bucks, then you could try and hope Bitcoin does another 10x.

Or Bitcoin could crash and you lose a bunch of money.

Also think about how long you planning on investing. Maybe it takes 10 days to double price, maybe it takes 5 years, maybe it never goes up.

Do your own research.

if you want to invest, invest it NOW while we in a DIP!
I would advice ADA to be safe for now.

I would, but risk is different for everyone. You should decide for yourself.

Stop recommending HEX. Richard is not a good person. Please research before you invest money.

Bitcoin has dipped pretty significantly in the past month or so; it might go through a lengthy consolidation phase before the next run up. If you look at Bitcoin's history, you'll notice that after every significant dip, it has seen major increases in value (regardless of how long the preceding consolidation phase was).

Now is the time to invest, and to hope we see another 10X in the 2022 or 23! BTC and ETH are safe, but also do your research on other altcoins, some of them have a lot of promise.

PS: Try to implement DCA into your strategy. Put small amounts into crypto at regular intervals.
