If you mean PoS (proof of stake) networks, yeah you get some fee for validating the transactions. In most blockchains there’s a high barrier to entry. To have a validator node you have to have an appreciable amount of “coins” staked, as well as maintain the validator server, which comes with extra cost (in case you don’t know how to do everything yourself).

Yea, since ETH turned into a PoS (proof of stake) chain you could also run node by staking your ETH and receive a % for supporting the chain/validating TXs.
