I don't know much about crypto mining. But I have 2 computers i7s lots of ram .

These aren't really ideal of mining as far as I can tell. it seems its more about graphics card then processing power.

Anyone give me an idea on the kind of money I can make using these 2 mining over a month or 3 months?

Or am I just way out of my wheelhouse here with these machines.

Thanks!

it depends on what cpu or gpu you are using. Also it depends on what coin you want to mine

You can try to search "<coin> mining calculator" to give you a rough idea of how much money you will get

Cpu mining you're basically stuck to Monero, ram doesn't matter. Your average desktop might make $10-12/month of Monero with an i7 (depends which i7 though).

So 2 systems, 3 months. Maybe $60 but chances are you'll spend more on electricity to keep them on 24/7.

These days if you want to make money it's ASIC, FPGA, or GPU. And even then you need a lot of GPUs and free electric (solar, wind, etc) to make good money.

Thank you for the kind reply .

I have quite a lot of compuer knowledge and can learn anything .But i'm not sure where to put my focus while using the resources I have. being time and 2 computers. Even botting game accounts seems fruitless.

If you're lucky enough, might cover your monthly electricity expenses.

Use that computing power to work on something productive like Video editing & content creation. Decent editors are waged $10/hr and upwards. You should look into it.

Thank you for yor response. Video editing and content is actually where I was headed. I've set up a green screen and everything. Unfortunately the motivation to chase the mountain of content creation and stnad out seems on its own, quite unrealistic. But you have to try something right! I've been looking at unsaturated games (good luck) , I suppose I could make a fiverr listing and offering cheap editing.

Today is a new day!

Thank you for your input. I agree mining seems completely pointless unless I mine a coin that suddenly explodes in value. With my limited knowledge of crypto, and its questionable legitimacy and practices, that's just gambling.

And then I see these channels posting 30 second meme clips 100 times a day and gaining crazy subscribers. Maybe I should simply spam a youtube channel and hope it doesn't get caught?

I dont think its pointless, its just worth it if you have cheap electricity costs

Thank you for your input. I suppose "pointless" was a strong word. But even though my power is very cheap, even making $100 a month from 24/7 computer use is, in my opinion, not a good idea. I'm better off working 1 day a month at McDonald's in terms of time value. Which isn't a half bad idea either at this point.

My local market rank and rent shows some potential. But i'm not sure if its a large enough market to charge companies a monthly fee. Local nail salons are always low ranking..
