I'm sorry to hear that, 80-90% of people who invest in crypto lose money. Are you a holder or a trader?View attachment 528078
I've been involved in crypto for 3-4 years, and this is how much I've lost. Not to mention several other accounts, each losing another 5-7k. Is this market really a place to make money, or is it just pure luck?
I'll try listening to Ben Cowen, thank you for sharing. Are you a term holder or a trader? Could you tell me about your portfolio? I'm currently losing faith in crypto as BTC and ETH have been continuously hitting new lows over the past week.you are probably another guy believing on gurus or scammers from youtube, bad analysts, etc
or you are a bad analyst yourself
for example, everybody opening long positions this year and keeping it the whole year are justing burning money
there are tons of permabulls and gurus talking about a super cycle and new ATH in 2026, crazy scammers
the only person I'm listening about crypto is Ben Cowen, 1m subscribers, years of experience, not a random youtuber promoting rugpulls, for me it's enough...I watched several gurus and clowns promoting shitcoins in the last few years, if I didn't pivot to someone serious, I would be as cooked as you
my portfolio is empty this yearI'll try listening to Ben Cowen, thank you for sharing. Are you a term holder or a trader? Could you tell me about your portfolio? I'm currently losing faith in crypto as BTC and ETH have been continuously hitting new lows over the past week.![]()
I was initially a holder, but then I switched to trading... and this was my biggest mistake...I'm sorry to hear that, 80-90% of people who invest in crypto lose money. Are you a holder or a trader?
I sympathize with you on these significant financial losses. Losing a large sum of money after 3-4 years of dedicated time and effort is a very painful experience and can easily lead to exhaustion and doubt.View attachment 528078

ETH is shit, I lost the most from my long ETH position until October 2025. now i closed all my positions. I believe that crypto is more about emotional and financial management than technical charts.my portfolio is empty this year
i follow the idea that we are in a bear market, this year is not good year for holding anything, just waiting for better market conditions, it's a great year to buy, not hold or sell
actually I have a short position opened about ETH, but right now, it's not a good moment to open a short position, market is already down
not investing on alts at all this year...I might change my mind in the future, but in 2026, nope
if I buy something, it will be BTC, only BTC, probably in the coming months (Q4 or a bit earlier), maybe open a long position in october or something like that, 2 or 3X, nothing degen like 10X
It's a good idea, just focus on BTC more than ETH...people who bought Ethereum in 2021 and beyond had minimum earnings potential since then, 99% of the time they just saw ETH bleeding against BTC. And I don't know if it will changes in the next few yearsETH is shit, I lost the most from my long ETH position until October 2025. now i closed all my positions. I will also buy back ETH and BTC to hold long-term at the end of the year when I have more money. Right now, I don't dare to buy them.
BTC has also split in half from its peak in October 2025. Do you really understand the market?Instead of you to buy BTC you're buying shit coin
thanks you, I wish you good luck in this market, as for me, I've withdrawn and lost a lot of faith.I sympathize with you on these significant financial losses. To answer your question directly: The cryptocurrency market is indeed a place where you can make money, but for the majority of small-scale players, it operates no differently than a casino of chance.
The difference between "making money" and "risk" in this market lies on a very harsh line.
Could you share with me the minimum investment limit you might be considering? Maybe that will help me regain my faith in crypto.I think your first lesson should be learning how to use a stop loss. I have never seen anyone use a stop loss and still lose as much as you do. And the second thing is that long-term investing will always be better than trading futures
thanks you, I've learned many lessons.Crypto is usually more volatile than stock market. Most people just gamble their money without understanding the market. 5-7k per account is huge loss. You should reconsider your investment strategy.
i hope, thanks youShort-term investing is really risky; I only see profits when investors are involved for the long term. And speaking of that, I only see potential in BTC. I'm investing periodically (DCA) in BTC at a rate of $500 per month. Hopefully, BTC will reach its all-time high (ATH) next year.
I don't think crypto is purely luck, but it can definitely feel that way after a few bad years. A lot of people entered during hype cycles expecting quick profits, only to see large drawdowns when the market turned.View attachment 528078

I'm surrounded by people who lost at crypto, and I haven't found anyone who's won in this market yet. I'm on this forum hoping to meet and get to know that person.I don't think crypto is purely luck, but it can definitely feel that way after a few bad years. From what I've learned, risk management matters more than picking the next big coin. Investing too much in a single project, using leverage, or chasing pumps can lead to heavy losses. Even experienced traders have losing periods.
It's also worth remembering that screenshots usually show only one side of the story. Some people make money, many break even, and others lose a lot. If you've already taken significant losses, it may be worth reviewing your strategy rather than assuming the entire market is broken. Treat it like any high-risk investment and never put in more than you're prepared to lose.
thanks you and hope you alway big win. From last year to this year, the cryptocurrency market has been truly crazy, leaving investors exhausted. I feel that crypto is really in decline; there aren't as many people participating as in previous yearsCrypto can make money but a lot of people underestimate risk and overtrade
the people posting huge wins rarely show the years of losses behind them
For most traders risk management matters more than finding the next moonshot coin
I'm one of those people, unfortunately I pivoted last year and not before, so I'm not a millionaire or something like that, still slowly growingI'm surrounded by people who lost at crypto, and I haven't found anyone who's won in this market yet. I'm so glad to have met you. You've made me start to have faith in this deceptive market. When I return to investing, could I message you privately to share more in-depth information and trade? Would that violate forum rules? Because I'm newbie in forum. Thank you again for your advice and for giving me faith, something very important in this market.I'm one of those people, unfortunately I pivoted last year and not before, so I'm not a millionaire or something like that, still slowly growing
but for the first time I'm really seeing some green numbers instead of bloodbaths.
The only thing I can say is to stop wasting your time with people shilling shitcoins/altcoins, if they are promoting any micro cap coin, small altcoin or meme garbage, just forget it and move on, same applies to telegram gurus, alpha groups, this is all bullshit, stick with serious analysts reading charts instead of partnering with obscure projects
you can message me, I won't be a guru or this kind of shit that would violate the rules, i'm available if it's just a healthy conversationI'm so glad to have met you.
