Crypto.com Account Hacked

The devs did get remote access to my desktop. However crypto.com is app only. Another thing I noticed is one chrome said 189 of my passwords have been compromised. The email connected to crypto.com happened to be one of them. Also I'm a moron. Used the same password for both email and crypto.com

K so this is it. Major infosec mistep there. Anyway you've learned from the mistake, now you'll need to put some effort in recovering the funds.

I never give remote access to actual working PC's. If you must, use a non work PC for this kind of stuff.

Use a password manager to generate different pwds for each site, never mix them. Also enable 2FA. HTH.

OP i'm sorry to hear this. Do go to the bank and explain what happend, I hope you'll get your money back. and Please, never give anyone, especially who you met online, access to your desktop.

my 2fa is connected to the gmail account that was compromised. -__-

But you use google authenticator on your phone right? So if they didn't have access to your phone, they couldn't access google authenticator.
