Hi there,

I run a very nicely engaged facebook page for an alternative news site. Currently have around 460k fans on the page. Our engagement fluctuates depending on whether a post has gone viral recently or not.

We recently agreed with another similar page to add each other as editors and promote our own content in one timeslot on that page (and vice versa). Is this something that works? I've actually noticed that our reach/engagement has dropped a little, whilst the other page has increased (they had a similar number of 'fans' as us, but with a much slower audience engagement rate).

We both post on eachothers pages once a day. Usually i'll post a link to an article on my website, or share a photo/video from my facebook page with theirs (and vice versa). I know a lot of pages have begun doing this (setting up cross posting with similar pages). I'm just wondering if Facebook have become wise to this?

Cross-Posting is appreciated! It's a very good idea to promote your content on a similar niche page. If posting is regular and the posts interest the audience, then you are sure to get more visitors.
