Is cross-posting across multiple platforms still effective, or losing impact recently?

i agree with the guy above.

if you post the same thing everywhere it'll just be seen as spam. not interesting.

I mean i am sure you know your audience on each platform, so shouldnt be hard to adapt and adjust the posts. for example if you're a brand selling items that can attract young and old people

on FB most people will most likely be old people. Soyour posts should attract old people and be tailored for them.

On IG and or Tiktok it'll be young people. So the content will be different. You dont target a 20 yo guy and a 50 yo man the same way

Cross-posting can still be effective, but its impact depends on how it’s done. Simply sharing the same content everywhere usually gets lower engagement platforms prioritize native, tailored experiences. However, repurposing content (adjusting format, caption, and timing for each platform) can save time while still driving results.
So yes cross-platform posting works best when it’s adapted to each audience and format rather than just reposted.

Cross-posting still works, but it’s more effective when you slightly adapt the content for each platform instead of posting the exact same thing everywhere.
Agreed. I've seen too many posts that tend to be rehashed and clickbaity like "I've earned $1,000, DM me to know more!"

99.9% of those things are just promoting some MLM or bullshitty course that promotes some affiliate marketing.

It still works, but copy-paste doesn’t
You need to adapt per platform

Cross-posting is no longer effective if you simply "copy-paste" content exactly across platforms, as algorithms (like Reels or TikTok) often stifle engagement on videos with watermarks or content that doesn't fit the local format. However, it remains a powerful tool for increasing reach if you employ a "content repurposing" strategy: keeping the core message but changing the visuals (caption, video size, language) to suit the specific characteristics of each community. In other words, cross-posting isn't dead; it's just shifted from quantity to intelligent customization.

Cross-posting is still effective as long as you tailor the content to each platform. Just copying the exact same thing everywhere can lose impact, but using the same core idea and adjusting it for each audience usually helps reach more people.
