Critique my website - positive reinforcement for SEO

I am using a purchased Joomla template, so I am not looking for design critics, but SEO critics. What should I do different? Also a website should have the highest text to html ratio correct? Do comments count in the HTML ration?

Never heard of a text:html ratio. But yes comment counts as html.
But I've hard to believe there's such a thing as a ratio for this regarding SEO.
Html is a markup which greatly increases the user experience, and so do comments for the developers.

Maybe I am using the wrong term, "Code to Text Ratio"... such as this tool....

Overall the site looks good. Good clean look, decent content. Your paths could do with tidying up though. Your pages have URLs like: /index.php/health-c/35-garcinia-cambogia-weight-loss. Personally I would alter these to be like /health/*article title*

How often do you write new content? The only dates I could find were back in 2012. If thats the case you may want to make some new ones to keep it looking active.

Work on your onpage SEO, off page you need to start building a few links.

Thanks for the feedback. The articles are new, but the Joomla install was from 2012 and I copy and pasted my articles over the sample data, hence keeping the dates. I will login to the backend and see if I can change the actual dates. I changed the links to SEO friendly, but not overly SEO friendly. I tried to mimic what GNC's website did, but I might change to your recommendation this weekend once I get an issue fixed on the backend.

Thanks for that link. I am looking at it now. It looks like it is worth it's weight in gold. I will start building links soon, but just being very cautious. I don't want Google to think I am buy / building links J Just doing some more research before I start hammering into that. I used to be a Webmaster for someone on this forum and built thousands upon thousands of great links. Those days seem to be over as Google has changed a lot since I last built links (2004 maybe 2005).

GREAT advice. I didn't really think about it as I thought BHW was a close nit community. But it makes sense as the name is Black Hat. I am not really looking to do much in the Black Hat area. Just mainly White Hat (no spamming).

Not sure what KW's you're going after but your keyword density is a little too high for some KWs, like "weight loss" and "natural skin care" Use the SEOQuake toolbar to analyze.

In addition to what other guys said, I would do some competitive research and see what densities are on competing pages that you could take on.

The description is too short and the title contains the site name. Additionally, it does not pass w3c validator.
