Critique my site idea

I am looking to create a WP video blog site with a plugin that imports Youtube vids, etc related to my niche. I want the homepage to be plastered in videos so people immediately start watching them and stay on the page (my niche is very visual). Of course, there's no real 'content' here so i would be looking to add a blog section to take care of that and so that i can actually link to text content as opposed to just my homepage. Naturally I will also be looking to find a theme that allows for affiliate ads on the sidebar, etc.

Can a site like this rank decently well as long as I include 'real' content in addition to the videos? Any one have any luck ranking and monetizing auto video blog sites?

The sites can still rank. After importing a video, do not use its exact title. Combine it with a long-tail keyword that people really search in google, and post it to your site. What really works well if when the entire title of that imported video is removed and your own put in place. However, there could be copyright issues here.

The condition for success in this way is not to have too many posts in a day, as those blogs are generally considered as spam blogs. Just have about 4 or 5 posts per day, and be patient with the process for 4 months for the posts to build up, and you will see the traffic.

Thanks, Scrapeboss. The site would be similar to this: www.simplygoodfood.net as they are using the same plugin but i would like to have mine include a blog section at top. That site is NOT mine but was for sale on Flippa. I would like to create something more robust and marketable but along that same style.
