Critique my IG Outreach Strategy (or learn from it!)

Hello. Here's what I do:

- 1 main business account (will scale and buy other accounts and set up proxies, etc, once I am sure my strategy is viable).

- I have a list of 50 IG accounts that are influential in my niche (= over 20k followers accounts that didn't buy their followers).

- I make a list of 80 of their most recent NON-REELS posts (mainly because reels are pushed to everyone and their mothers and I want highly engaged leads not random who browsed the explore tab, but I might be wrong on this one).

- I use a Chrome extension to scrape the 100 most recent people who liked these 80 posts, put everything in an excel sheet, delete duplicates, and I now have a list of 2500 prospects for each account to DM monthly.

(From 8000 prospects down to 7500 once the duplicates are removed, in total - I plan to DM them over 5 different accounts, I'm in the process of warming up the other 4 accounts now).

- I use a bot to automate sending the first message.

To make sure I don't get banned I set up the bot to choose between 6 variable first half of the message and combine it with any of 6 other variable second half of the message.

Then I try to sell to those who reply by getting them on a call yadayada.

What do the peeps of blackhatworld think of this?

I do B2C btw, if that's any relevant.

What niche are you targetting ?

I'm a dating coach but I think this is similar to anything that involves helping a person get from situation A to situation B with their personal life, fitness coach, business coach, etc.

UPDATE:

Right now my goal is to get to 1% booked consultation calls from DMs. Once I do this, I will automate with other accounts.

What changed since I made this post:
- I had a hard time finding a software that would get me ACTIVE prospects (instead of random followers who might be spam pages or not even use the app anymore) AND that would also give me a .csv containing their first name.
- The goal is to automate the first DM but to have it include at least a bit of personalization (first name + the page where I found them)
- Eventually I found one that can scrape IG comments and that associates first name with username.

I'm doing this because I noticed that:
- Personalized manual DMs get me 0.26% consultation call rates, this is extra low but at least I get calls. But manual DMs take forever.
- Automated DMs are convenient but unless my list is very well filtered I end up wasting my time (0 replies from that after a week).

For reference, my DMs are probably not the best.

Here's an example of the one I used with the not-personalized automation:
(variable elements are within brackets)

[funny hook line] + [what I can get you] + [CTA with lead magnet]

"do you reply to girls... well I'm not a girl but I can get you on 1 date before the same day next week. I'm sharing a free guide that shows exactly how, just say the word and I'll send it over"

And here's the one I use now with automation, this one includes a bunch of variables to make it more personalized:

[Greetings + Name] + [introducing myself and what I can get you] + [softer CTA with lead magnet]

"Hey Patrick I'm helping guys get better results with girls, I'm actually sharing a free guide and most of our followers who tried it got a date in the following week. Do you know anybody who'd want it?"


Let's see the results I get with that, I'll update later...

Btw IF ANYONE WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING CAN GIVE ME FEEDBACK REGARDING THE WRITING OF MY FIRST DM PLS GO AHEAD I really feel this is the bottleneck for me right now ...

You really have a good strategy and seems the method really works for you, and you cover all the posibilities to get banned by not making look like spam the messages.

I've made a lot of changes since, learned a lot, I created a thread to share about my journey I suggest you check it out

If you are using 5 accounts to send 7500 DMs it's going to take you at least 1.5 months to complete your outreach. I think there are several things you can do to optimize your approach.

1. Use a mass DM service provider from the marketplace. You will be able to get out thousands of messages for a super cheap price. The conversion rate will likely be a lot worse since the outreach accounts aren't profiled for your purpose.

2. Set up more than 5 accounts and run some mother/child setup. Imo the best approach. If you can get it to run smoothly it will be the most cost effective as the people that follow back your child accounts will be qualified leads and your DMs to them will land straight in their inbox and not in their requests folder. People will actually see your message more often and the conversion rate should increase. Additionally you can funnel these people to your main account and increase your own following and build your personal brand. If you are consistently providing solid content on your main account you will then see additional organic growth.

3. Use spintax to get more variants of your initial message. 6 + 6 isn't going to cut it if you are looking to scale.

Right now mother/child is not a priority because I literally don't have the time to learn how to do it. I'm currently running 10 IG accounts and sending 50dms per acc each day and that takes so much time.

Or at least I'm trying lol, my automation tool breaks often and IG seems to restrict some of my accounts from time to time too... Still learning this, I'll figure out eventually.

I honestly don't trust the marketplace here, only time I bought I got scammed. I may try again eventually.

Spintax is handled imo, there are 6 variables per message, one of them being the name of the prospect, each other variable being chosen within a list of 4.

Current focus is making sure I'm building a qualified list (I'm scraping followers of big names in the industry) because my main problem is that literally 50% of my lists are people from India who can't afford my stuff. Luckily I found a chatgpt extension for excel that helps me with that.

Once it's stabilized and I make some money with this setup I will grow the accounts.
