Hello everyone, today I updated two plungins that Wordpress informed me that they needed to be updated.

Yoast SEO
Easy table of contents

After that I get the following message in my Wordpress admin panel "There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions."

No email..

Go to cpanel , go to file explorer, rename folders with same name under plugin folder. You will be back online. Go back to wordpress admin and delete those 2 plugins.
May be you need to update wordpress or php to use new version of those plugins.

I use the latest version of Wordpress and my PHP is 7.4. This is the first time this has happened.

I just contacted them and they fixed it, the problem is Easy Table of Contents.... they deactivated it but now I will see why it gave error in the 4 sites.

Update php? Use different table plugin.

Ask hosting support, they probably could help you.. Just tell them after you updated a plugin, something went wrong.

Now everything works fine without that plugin and I just looked it up to reinstall it and test it but it says this:

Installation failed: Download failed. Not Found

They probably stopped the UPDATE.

Guess the plugins you installed are not compatible with the WP version you currently have.

It has been solved, although I don't have a table of contents and I will wait a few hours to see if it is solved, I really like that table of contents.

On the other hand then the next time something like this happens if I enter by FTP and rename the plugin folder that gives me the error should be solved?
