Below is my thoughts after 2 years playing with seo

seo facts 101:
i) no one really know google's ranking factor, those who claim themsevles as a seo expect is a BS
ii) the only way to know seo is to test thing out instead of reading what people say (sometime they say something because someone said it to them, they have no idea how it work, they just follow)
iii) u have to have some budget to learn seo (because sometime u make mistake, like u didn't know domain age when u r testing out the web 2.0s ranking factor, u wasted money and time
iv) seo is marketing, so buying links is fine, just like u pay some buddy to set up a board for your shop.

So you're saying that seo is not dead?

you are already a pro buddy.
what else am I missing? look like I'm closed to slash few local cilent and give myself the title of No.1 SEOer in my country lol..

Well I wouldn't call this knowledge of SEO. I'd say it's more "how to market anything" in a nutshell.

Knowledge of SEO would be stuff like:

https:// sites get more "rank juice".
Websites that load quicker are better.
Title tags shouldn't be longer than 60 - 70 chars.
Meta keywords are a waste of time when trying to rank in Google.

I'd say SEO was knowing how to rank sites.
Knowing what is takes to rank keywords eg. KW difficulty, different methods etc.

And everything else falls under that:
- On-page SEO
- Off-page SEO
- Keyword research

To name a few..

I would call this common sense stuff that one can learn in google webmaster guideline, so this is seo?

While it's true that unless you saw the ranking algorithm first hand, you can't know what actually ranks a website. However, it is still quite easy to see cause and effect, for example adding content on a page around a certain topic and optimising its structure allows you to rank for that topic... while you can't know that for sure, it is still widely accepted to be the truth.

Look at it this way, before Newton discovered gravity there were still jugglers. They didn't know exactly why for sure that when they threw something in the air it would fall towards the centre of the Earth but they still knew that if they threw something in the air it would behave predictably, thus allowing them to juggle...SEO is the same concept as this. Google understands 'gravity' and we just know that stuff falls when you throw it.
