Criteria for Buying Links (2018)

Hi,

Based on criteria like:

- Topic website
- DA
- TF
- # Referring Domains
- Server Country

I decide if I buy a link from a certain website yes or no.


I am wondering if you guys use any other criteria than above mentioned?

If the link is a guest post, you might want to look at REAL site traffic as well.
 
The link will be always on a new created page with a related article.
 
DR -> Niche -> RD (assuming good quality here) -> Organic Traffic -> Organic Keywords.

I don't care for much else.
 
given its a clean, un-spammed, site:
RD -> Niche Relevancy -> TF-> DA ->Organic Traffic -> Organic Keywords.
 
Relevancy always matters. Google always look the relevancy in your referring domains.But other than that those are the criteria I look for in a website.
 
What about?

- HTTPS
- Do follow / no follow
- Speed test
- Mobile responsive
- Etc.

Any other criteria you guys look at before buying links from websites besides the ones already mentioned in this thread?

If is guest post in real website - RD and overall backlinks profile. I am looking for natural links, major news outlets etc. Then traffic.

If is PBN - same as the above minus the traffic, even tho some traffic is always a plus.

Assuming the above is for the backlink sources and not for your website:

From the above obviously no/d0follow is of importance. The other factors are not that important if the metrics and backlink profile is decent. It doesn't hurt if you can get everything listed and even more - for example social presence for the site you are getting a backlink from, but i'd consider it just a nice bonus for 2018. Maybe in the future the above will have more weight and will make a slight difference in the backlink power.
 
With the project myself and my colleague have built up (see signature), we also check to make sure the site has 'normal' anchors in their backlinks. A site can appear to have very good metrics, yet when you look at the their backlink profile, it looks as spammy as hell.

Also a check in the Wayback machine can help to determine whether it's an expired domain that's been bought. If it is, you run the risk of it being penalised / backlinks no longer counted, straight away, or in the future.

Try to buy backlinks from domains which have on top positions your keywords (anchor text).
It working 10x better than any method which you mentioned.
It's because for Google it's authoritative site in your topic.
And in this case really don't matter anything else such DA
