Does anyone know if the Cricket broadband usb modem changes its IP every time you turn it off and on? Thought it would be an easy way to change IP's for BH activities. I talked to someone at Cricket and they have no clue.

I would love to know the answer to this as well.

I am guessing that you would need to change the MAC address on the card each time to change the IP address... the problem is that I do not know if this is possible. The cricket employees are not tech-saavy. They typically make around 10 dollars an hour... you can't expect much out of cricket employees IMHO.

It changes every time you connect. You are only limited by the amount of IPs they have allocated to their service and geographic region.

Spoof the mac address with SMAC. Well, that's what we used to do back in the stone ages, I don't know if that still works.

How fast is the Cricket mobile broadband anyways? If it's a decent speed, I'll buy it and let you guys know if I can get it working on dynamic IPs.

yea its pretty fast. its what i use, sometimes you may lose connection but its good overall.

and inexpensive
