Arrogant Americans will watch this video and say,
"So sad, they are so brainwashed."
When it's really not that much different over here. Sure, American life should not even be compared to what these people are subjected too. But still, there is a social engineering campaign running rampant in America as well. I believe, at least from what I've seen from American documentaries, that the people of North Korea are being subjected to some kind of cruel social experiment.
It's really bad over their.
For example they have something similar to this in which the people gather in celebration of their leader, Kim Jong or whatever. They all act like they're praising him and giving thanks for life, when in reality they are all acting. If they do not act happy in this celebration, they are either:
A. Killed
B. Taken to a labor camp
It's a messed up world we live in. Really if you take a step back and look at things it's messed up.
Think about the average American though. I remember some YouTube guy doing street polls on the beach asking the most basic of questions regarding politics, each and every single person was completely and utterly clueless. North Korean propaganda involves convincing the North Koreans that they are better than any race in the world (essentially racism). This in turn makes them feel obligated to work. They also put pictures of their "dear leader" all over North Korea, portraying him as a freedom fighter and as someone to be revered and looked up too. These posters are everywhere. And as a result the Koreans work for nothing.
In China they have suicide nets for IT workers. If they decide to jump off a building these nets will catch them.
American propaganda is a lot more intricate. And has been in swing for a long time. The entertainment industry is really one of our main forms of it. The celebrity lifestyle. North Korea even made a documentary about how America brainwashes its people daily.
The average teen, hell the average adult is more concerned with the NFL or what outfit Justin Bieber wore yesterday. It's all just a big curtain. And the people behind it are doing God knows what. Who knows if there's even a God who's benevolent, who knows if us Americans are even more free than these poor North Korean souls.
Just my 2 cents.
To end my little speech. There is an old story about a man who was born blind. His whole life he saw black, pure darkness. He went through life only with his other 4 senses. Touch, taste, hearing, and smell. 60 or 70 years of his life he went without seeing what this majestic world looks like, even one bit. Then one day, by some form of luck or magic. He was bestowed with the gift of sight. He saw what the world looked like, and what he had been missing for years upon years. He saw the trees and birds, the people and food. He saw himself, his children. He saw his car and his bed. Amazing right?
5 senses.
Try and imagine another sense. Try and imagine a 6th sense, or maybe even 100 more senses. Try to think, maybe to an alien race. Maybe we are just as enslaved and blinded as these North Koreans?
