Ok, i know that you guys always have creative ideas so please help me on this one:

I'm preparing a case in court against a company and the one person who can proof something in my favor isn't working for that company anymore ...
I allready looked on google, linked-in, twitter ... but no luck.

I was thinking to just call up the company and try to get her phone number or e-mail, adress if they have it. I just have to come up with something original so that the company would give out this information without suspecting anything!

    something creative?
sorry, this might be dumb but maybe it helps:

    - get a suit and a fake FBI ID and go directly to the company for investigation. Ask a friend to go with you, from my experience it works better.
    - try to call the company pretending to be some lost relative
    - try to get a cleaner job there (you can outsource this) and you or your worker should investigate there.
    - or try this:

It will be very difficult to get out the information that you need. Usually, companies have very strict policies about giving out employee information. Your best bet would be to call the receptionist with some fake emergency situation about contacting your friend and then pretend like you never knew he left. You will just have to wing it from there and hope they give you something.

I think if that person is crucial in coming to the truth about the matter, you will get a judge to force that company to reveal his details.

I dunno, otherwise call them with a bull shit story, saying your calling from his kids school and his kid has been in a fight and has been sent to the hospital, (then they will say that person does not work here any more) then tell them you need the contact its really important this is the only number we have for the 'dad' .
