Creating WordPress Store With eBay Orientation

First off, I'm assuming this is the best sub-forum to place this in.

So, I've never used WordPress because, despite everyone insisting it's as easy as falling off a log, I never could get the hang of it. I'm not stupid, but maybe there were just too many choices, and plugins to choose from.

Here's my situation, and maybe you can guide me. I have a TON of knick knacks that I have to sell, some used, some not. I want to have an eBay-oriented online store that offers the best of SEO. I might do some blogging to create some backlinks, but don't want to depend on that because the merchandise isn't really any particular niche.

So, I understand you might ask some questions to help me along, but also understand I'm kind of a newbie.
