Creating virtual machine runs terribly slow

Hi!
I need to run a virtual machine Windows on my computer, I need to run ADSpower, Excel + a macro program on the server. The whole thing is supposed to run in the background of normal Windows, which will also run the same set of programs. (I want to do the same work twice on one laptop). I installed vmware + windows 10 on one of my laptops, but it runs terribly, terribly slow and I can't work on it. The question arises which program would be best for this, vmware, vb, maybe some other? What should you pay attention to when it comes to creating a VPS? What parameters should I give it?
laptop parameters:
ryzen 7 7840HS, 32gb ram lpddr5, 512gb, rtx 4060.

You forgot to mention your internet speed.

Wmware workstation pro should be enough, alternatively VirtualBox. Could try Hyper-V which comes with Windows 10 pro/enterprise.

Have you allocated enough resources (CPU cores / ram / storage ) ? Is the VM optimized, no unnecessary stuff running in the background? Is your internet fast enough?
