Creating Personal Blog Network

I've heard of people buying aged/highpr expired domains, setting up blogs on them, and using it as a personal blog network. has anyone done that here? my questions are:

1. how the hell do you get varying IP's for 50-100 site network? don't you have to sign up to many hosting services to do that?
2. is there a way to automatically install WP and manage multiple sites like this?
3. is this worth the time/money/effort compared to purchasing posts on other private networks?

your thoughts are appreciated!

There are providers that sell multiple ip's. You can try cclassiphosting.com (12/mo for 10 ips).

1. Most dedicated servers will assign you multiple IP's, if not, you can easily request more. Heck you could even get a VPS with multiple IP's
2. You can try ManageWP (I think it's paid? but if you're planning to do this it will be worth the investment, or you can try find some free ones)
3. Yes, because it will be your own private network to rank your own sites, so it won't be over saturated with other peoples websites as well as your own. It will also keep it private and exclusive to you, not many footprints if you play your cards right.

thanks for your help! i'd be curious in opinions on this as well:

1. Should each site have its OWN IP? is that even possible using the same host with 50+ sites?
2. Should I have regular content posted(without links) on each site to improve its "quality", OR wouldn't it make sense to only have posts that are strictly for promoting my sites so that the content doesn't get 'watered down' on each site with random posts?
3. Should I do regular link building to these sites? they would be high pr domains from Godaddy.
4. Should I put up the original site that used to be there??

1. different IP - necessary. Even different C-class.
2. post content relevant to your money sites niche
3. why not? sure, but be wise and accurate
4. you should not, but you can, if you want to "recover" all old website authority

Link Farm Evolution is a great way to manage a big network.

to manage a network of that size AMR should do the trick as for posting and scheduling, it's what I use. Mix up the shared hosts rather than cclass or seohosting. The jury still seems to be out on seohosting, I use some and can't really see any advantages after it's set up, if you shop around it's not really any cheaper.

I post alot without links to my site, or with links to non competing authority sites. Probably less than 10% of my articles link to my properties. Make sure you use different themes as well as differeing categories. And of course make up an about us and contact us page.
I've also got some blogs in my network with some random adwords code - usually a charity. I figure this really eliminates any footprints.


Basically my posting method is like this to a 70ish strong network. I highly spin an article, spinning on word, sentence, paragraph levels. I also spin the links in the article, as well as the images and the image position. Then I publish it using the AMR scheduler to 10-20 blogs, with one submit every 140-160 hours. Then just leave AMR running 24/7, 365 days a year.

I have my own network.

These are my recomendations.
-Do not use SEO hosting, use cheap and different hosts. SEO hosting will leave a signature, imagine all your links having ips with same whois record for the ip.
-Make sure you have different WHOis records for each domain, this is harder said than done, since when you change the whois record google still remembers the old one and can track that. For small networks do not change the whois, if you have 50 or less domains you can stick to same whois.
-Change the script, do not use all wordpress! Add drupal and other scripts or you will leave a signature.
-Do not use all your domains to link to your site, keep some for a bad rainy day!
-Do not register all domains in the same registrar.
-Do not do black hat stuff if the domains you buy are clean of it. Or segregate some domains that are clean and some that are not.
If you want to do this white hat style, put on the domains that these are a part of a network, that way if you get a manual review they might be lienient with you.


Above all, if you go this route do not destroy your network by using spun text!
And do not leave the sites with the default templates, put some work into changing templates.

My favorite method is to use many shared hosting accounts. Use whatever works for you. But don't limit your thinking to not being able to do something. Think big.

The building of them...not so much. Not if you want to make them look awesome and have unique templates. I made a default WP database and set up my own WP install beforehand, so that a lot of stuff was "ready to go" on a host. (For example, I have a functions.php with stuff I like to use, certain plugins I always want to have, etc.) For management I have a custom suite of scripts (because I use more than just Wordpress in my networks) but I have used LinkFarmEvolution as well. Use what works for you.

It's better. I wouldn't waste my time with other "private" networks. You don't own them, you don't ultimately control them, and they're never private. Make your own. Make some good friends in the IM world. And invite only them to your network, and be a part of their networks. Limit your exposure to a handful of like-minded people you know and trust - and live long and prosper.
