Hey guys. To put it briefly, I am creating an eCommerce site for a family member's already established low 6 figure annually business (gross). I have been doing some research for eCommerce platforms and have came across Shopify, which seems to be quite user friendly and respected. I am just wondering if anyone has any experience with this platform, and if so, is it worth it?

I plan on using this (or a different user friendly platform) for a few months before eventually moving onto something more sophisticated and technical based such as magento.

Also, for people who have had an ebay business and created a ecommerce website before, can you give me any tips or info about any problems you have encountered during the process?

Thanks so much for any advice that you may be able to offer.

shopify now has an app that bridges ebay & shopify inventory!
super easy to use now & inventory automatically updates across both when a purchase is made.

Host your own site!! Do not go for the Shopify route unless your a complete newb or don't know ANY HTML or don't have any experience with WP.

Its best to own your site and your data instead of someone else owning it. You also have the choice to SELL your site if you ever need the extra money or get tired of it.
