I realize it's a question I should be asking a lawyer but I thought I'd ask here too.
Say I want to create a membership site targeted at people who want to learn how to perform a certain skill X (it can be anything really, think cooking, programming, meditate etc). The product is basically an e-course, and students can learn the skill online, and get support from professional trainers.
How do I go about creating content for the course? There are a lot of books out there on any topic. What if I take an existing book, and turn each chapter in the book into a lesson in my product? I mean keep the structure and methodology, but of course not copy/paste the content, but rather completely rewrite it.
Is this legal? Would appreciate any advice from people who took similar approach to content creation/curation etc.
