Creating Backlinks on home or post?

Hello guys!

I've got just a few questions here, i couldn't find while searching this forum, when you create a backlink, do you create a backlink to your home page or to a certain post, like domain.com or domain.com/pineapplepies?

Another thing, do i really need to create some bloggs on let's say blogger, with some unique articles and images and a link to my money site? So that would count as tier 2 link yea? What is a tier 3 link? Do i really need to create them?

Can i do social bookmarks on my money site as well as backlinks? Another thing, how can i find out my position in google with a certain keyword and how to remove bad backlinks, like from whois.com and all that kind of domain information, also i've got some pages indexed in google which doesn't exist on my website anymore, how do i remove them?

So many questions but i will do my best to answer as clearly as i can.

Back linking to your home page and sub pages is important.

A single webpage this days stand a high chance of been hit by any update.

The more pages you have ranking for various keywords the more authority your site looks and the more income you will make.

Yes, it's necessary if you want to improve your ranking to link to several sites like blogs, web 2.0 with unique articles and your link in the content.

Tier 2 is when you create blog/web 2.0 and link to your site and have another site linking to your blog/web 2.0.

EG - Here is some samples using web 2.0.

TIER 2 - URL -> Web 2.0 -> Social Bookmarks
TIER 3 - URL -> Web 2.0 -> Social Bookmarks -> Comment

There are lots of tools you can use to check your ranking on the search engine like Rank Checker.

Removing back link is simply logging into your web 2.0 accounts or whatever you use and removing your link or shutting down the account.

A lot of people find it difficult removing their links for various reasons, in cases like this the best option is to neutralize the links.
