Its a very general niche. I am using themes from themeforest

yeah its a site I bought off godaddy. Its aged but doesnt have much linking history.

Yeah for sure, its just the beginning. I plan to hire full time writers dedicated for the site.

Status Update:
Currently setting up site structure, content,etc.

Site structure is really important so that users dont get confused.
Your site should also stand out from the rest.

The project is going slightly slow but within a week everything will be up and rocking.

Good luck with the journey mate. I am building things like this..I know how much money it takes! Not to mention the time. Don't expect any ROI before a year. Keep at it.
 
Good luck OP with your journey! May I ask what is the monthly search volume you are going after & how many keywords initially?

I'm gonna follow this closely.

You'll eventually get to the point where a new article will rank instantly because of all the authority.

My bigger site has 60+ pages, filled with 2k words each and I receive a lot of traffic form long tails.

Keep us updated :)
 
Thank god for this thread. A million journey threads pop up where a kid posts a video to YouTube a day (unless he's tired/has homework/did something else unrelated) and makes 2 dollars with ppd. Good for those guys, but they make for terrible reading.

Obvioisly some people like them, but this is what I want to see, big things that your average fella can't do.

I will be following this closely since I am doing the same thing. But am starting with only a 1000 pages to see how it goes. Then the money I get from adsense I will be investing in content until I reach 10,000 pages.

Since you're want to look as profesionnal as possible, will you consider to buy a customused unique theme?
 
This is awesome man.

I'm working on a similar authority site -- have 72k words on it already, but I've been writing everything myself to save money and raise the quality of articles.

Are you going to do anything special for promotion of the site or just let it grow organically?

I have a new project with 6-7 figure potential that I am working on.
Once thats done Ill look back to get this running.
