So I was reading this awesome article that explains how to choose keywords that are popular now and how to check the competition on these keywords.
We do this to find popular keywords with low competition.

I assume that there's no such website that does that for you on a daily basis, basically gives you a list of popular keywords with low competition (if there is please let me know).

So I was thinking to do that myself, with an automation service.

All the steps that were written in the article can be automated. I will go over them briefly:

    1. Check what's popular on Google Trends and pick keywords
    2. Check how many results there are for each keyword
    3. Check how many results for this keyword with "inanchor" and "intitle"
    4. Analyze top10 first Google results by pagerank and amount of backlinks and check the age of the domains
    5. Check onpage optimization of each website - more complex, but doable at a later stage
    6. Check for rich domain names

What I could do is make a blog where I would post everyday the following post:

Popular keywords: lets say 10 most popular keywords

    Analysis for keyword1:
Amount of results | "inanchor" results | "intitle" results
A table with 10 websites and their pagerank, backlinks and age and if it's rich domain.

    Analysis for keyword2:
    ....

Does it make sense to do something like this?

This has been a method of kw research for a while now.

Note how some big sites rank for certain kw's instants after they become news.

Hm ok, but my question was if it would be useful to automate this process and post the results everyday in a blog or something..

It'd be useful to many, I'm sure. The problem I see would be your use of the Trends API and publishing Google data on your site. Do they approve of this? Does the Trends API cost $$ per X requests? Other than that I think it's a good idea.

I can just build a bot that would collect that info. Didn't know they have an API.
i don't think there's something wrong in this. I just collect some info..

Also, not very clear to me why no one thought of doing that.. I mean many people are looking for these keywords and that requires some work to find it and no one thought to create a list like that? even manually?
    Something is fishy here.. :)

    What you do you think?
