Anyone who is successful with mobile apps willing to share some tips?

If you don't know coding, how much to pay someone to create a mobile app? How long does it take to create one?

Where to find someone, is Upwork good? What if they leave you midway through the project? Or after the app is created and you are making money with it but they suddenly leave you? The problem is you don't know coding so you can't fix any bugs or do updates. People get frustrated that the app is not working so they quit paying. I have no coding skills so this is something I'm worried about if I ever decide to do mobile app.

I've seen some apps with high revenue numbers. Anyone here know how much profit they actually make, after deducting expenses like ads, hire people for app maintenance , payment processor, etc?

Which is easier and has higher income potential, creating a SaaS or mobile app?

apps can print if u hit right niche, but dev cost + upkeep ain’t small. simple app can be \$2–5k offshore, \$10k+ western devs, few weeks to months. upwork/freelancer ok, but risk of dev ghosting is real better hire agency or lock code in repo u control. profit depends on ad spend + retention, many apps break even unless virality. saas usually longer build, but churn low and margins better if u solve pain point. mobile apps = faster hype money, saas = steadier long game.

I tried a no-code builder before and made a simple app in 2 weeks, but scaling it was a nightmare without dev support

You have 2 options.
Make one big app like a game and pump a lot of money into it.
Make many small apps that have few functions and aren't complicated.
I think it's easier to make smaller apps. It doesn't require big business skills.

Yeah, my problem is I don't have any coding skills so not sure if I can rely on someone to maintain the app for me.

First I suggest you need decide what kind of app you gonna run, then check the market if they have enough budget.

If it is a simple idea then just use use code-block builder apps where you can build with logic blocks instead from pure coding. You can build with ChatGPT but that requires you to have some form of language knowledge.

Developing a mobile app without coding requires trusted developers and ongoing support while SaaS offers higher scalability and recurring revenue but needs long term technical management

Use claude, it will take days/weeks since the AI will mess a lot of stuff up, but in the end you will have a working app

First, why so you think you need an app?

Second, you just take Claude code, top 5-7 YouTube tutorials about vibe coding and you can create almost anything mvp in 1-4 weeks

You can use the claude if you want this is a good tool to do the app and use to fix broken things a developer that will be the way i will do it

Neither is "easier" by default. But I can recommend to use your background - focusing on your real experience can be helpful

I think creating an application requires a lot of costs. The important thing is whether the app truly attracts users. Games and educational apps require good marketing strategies and engaging advertising content to attract users.

I tried pretty much everything... ASO tools, small UA tests, posting in communities, even hiring freelancers. It helped a bit but growth always stalled and the apps never really made money.

What finally worked for me was partnering with a publisher. After I started working with CAS.ai, they handled UA, ASO, and optimization, and that’s when the apps actually started generating revenue.

Before that I was basically guessing on the marketing side.
