Have you tried this approach yourself? I have. You waste so much time and energy and finally get something up and running that no one else has; and you end up with 2.5 visitors per day. It's boring, it's hard, and gives you noting in return, not even the joy that your content is at least wanted, let alone being able to make money out of it.

Thanks for your reply. But one thing I don't understand is that everyone knows about Youtube, Hulu, IDMB, etc. Then how do they end up on your site?

I assume you offer full length movies, right? Where do you get full length movies that wouldn't cost a lot to put on your site?

Plugsubmitter is like $25 a month but plugrush is a way to trade traffic and make money at the same time, you make frames and say 30% trade and 70% clicks for sale for example.

Are you seriously this clueless? I thought you were an expert site builder? And you question my business sense? Tsk tsk. Lollercopters....

The tube site scripts will convert the video files, no need to worry about a virus. If you're running a tube site where people can upload though, you just might get sued. Lots of those sites have stolen content on them and the content producers in the adult industry are sicking lawyers on people more and more.

Does anyone else have suggestions for good, cheap traffic at those types of rates? I'm in the "how to pick up girls" niche...I want to see if adult-oriented traffic will convert for my products.

So you want traffic? Build a bunch of sub pages targeting 300-1000 exact monthly searches, do some proper ScrapeBox blasts and let your sites rank.

Make a viral site. Viral posts like "Top 10 most evil people ever", "Top 10 sex positions that could make you break your neck", "How to scare the crap out of your coleague", etc.

Optional step for increased control and effectiveness:
Then get a bunch (100-ish) proxies and make accounts on social bookmarking sites over a period of a month or two (the longer the better). Digg, stubmle, etc. other people's posts, post comments, do what real people do there.

After you published about 10-15 super viral posts on your site, go and post them on the social bookmarking sites. If you did the step above vote them up.

A StumbleUpon effect can get you about 10,000 visitors/day for about a week, then it starts to go down.

Make sure you don't vote with same accounts too many times the site or might get banned on the bookmarking sites.

Then again, if you want to feel good, just jerk off, drink something, get high, sleep, whatever. Investing time into sites to feel better about yourself is not a good idea. That means you're weak. If you're weak, this game is not for you. If you want to have success online or offline for that matter, or in any area of your life, you have to be prepared to face big obstacles. For those prices you're most likely looking at general adult skim traffic, which you can buy from a numberof dealers in large bulk quantities. It's alright for feeding a content site like a tube, but not likely to perform well for what you're looking to do. It's meant to feed traffic, not so much to bring in interested leads. You'd be further off buying clicked traffic from a network like JuicyAds on EroAdvertising if you want to dabble in adult traffic, or going directly to the webmasters and buying spots (by far the best bang for your buck in adult). Depending on how you are monetizing your site and what your payouts are, that will be your best bet for converting paid adult traffic on a CPA type offer of this kind. Otherwise you'll be looking at a lot of blind clicks with a hideous bounce rate, or just straight up bot clicks. I almost guarantee for what you are doing, buying skim traffic will be a complete waste of your money. Think quality, not quantity if you're looking to convert leads...
