Creating A Gambling Site

Hello there. A couple weeks ago I was knocked out of my local survivor football pool (damn you New England). I decided to ask around and see if there was any interest in starting up another survivor pool mid season. Within 1 week of solely word of mouth, I collected $3,000 and am currently running a small pool on a blog site. Each week people email me their picks and I post it on the site.

Now for the problem. As most of you know sports betting sites are illegal in the US and Canada. Since my pool is relatively small right now im not really in jeopardy of being caught. If I were to make it bigger (which I know I could relatively fast) what loopholes could I exploit to make this as close to legal as possible. I know betting sites are legal that are based out of the UK, or most places outside North America. Without moving to another country is it possible to setup a site on foreign soil?

Any kind of Help what be much appreciated. Even legal advice would be welcome. BTW I live in Canada

Maybe do a JV with someone in the UK, so they can get a UK hosting company etc..... You pay them a percentage???

Would it be possible to get a UK hosting account myself? Maybe through a VPS or something?

Ill continue to look into this. Anyone with knowledge of the laws surrounding this would be very helpful.
