Hey everyone,

A company I'm working with want to rank in a city center but they are approx. 20-30 miles away from the city center. They have great reviews(more than ANY competitor in the area) and a great GMB Profile.

If I opened a secondary GMB profile of the same company closer to the city center, what would happen?
I don't know if the reviews are shared or not so thats an important thing.

If this is not possible, what are your suggestions to rank in the city? They really have a great profile and reviews perfect to rank in the city.

If you open a second GMB, the reviews won’t move over they’ll stay with the original. You’re probably better off focusing on local SEO for the current one, like using city-specific keywords and building local backlinks. It can definitely still work with a strong profile like you have!

If you open a second GMB profile, the reviews won’t be shared automatically — each location builds its own set. It could help with ranking closer to the city, but you have to make sure the second location is legit or it might get flagged. You could also try optimizing your existing listing with city-specific keywords and building more local citations.
