Create your own URL shortner!

I just found a cool script that allows you to create your own short urls. And you can create them with whatever you want in the url! The script is called yourls, and its a breeze to use. What I liked is the ability to create custom URLs and to track clicks on them. Now I can double check if traffic is really going where I want it to!

It even includes some sample files to start your own URL shortening service. Not a bad way to advertise yourself!

Anyhow I thought some of you might benefit from them, the url is www.yourls.org. And i am in zero way connected with them!

Yes, yourls.org is very good. I created 8 url shorteners about a year ago using their script. Using 8 four letter domain names.Very easy to install and use. :thumb:

I am using yourls.org. It works good for me. I like the handy bookmarklets, stats provided by it and plugin architecture. Its fun an useful. Its a great way to add branding to your short URLs, instead of using some public shortener which everyone uses.
