Hey. im currently doing 3k$ a month (bevor tax) with cpa. Now im really stuck and that point so i decided to create a Saas Company and wanna ask for device. First of all to me my Developer skills are more or less in the .net world (mostly c# desktop apps, wpf) my web dev skills are litterly 0. So first of all how much time should i really invest to find a good idea, should i backtest the idea after i found it, should i search for competitors or how should i verify it can succeed. Also after i found an idea whats the next steps?. Making any plan or actually i dont have any idea hot to proceed then.

It seems to me like you already know everything u need to do, you seem just a bit unsure. If i were u id just follow a tutorial and learn webdev. It will take u probably 2-3 weeks

thanks mate, im curious whats the best way to find an idea, so where should i acctually do the research
 
There's no one big idea that's waiting for you. Don't spends months and years on one big idea.
If you are doing yourself , start by creating a simple Android app like a small game. Or create a dashboard. All saas have dashboards.

I wanna do a Saas (Website). Also what can be used commercially to maybe build stable income in the future
 
The only thing is do you have time

There is noharm in trying

You can dedicate 3 - 6 months and try your present idea

If it works good .. if not... you still get knowledge

This Is a tried and tested formula to get started quickly here it is:
Find top 100 saas
Or
Find top 10 saas in x, x could be anything like accounting, tax, productivity, calender
Select one of the saas you like or you think can make it too.
Create similar, with less or with more functionalities and sell at cheaper price.
 
Are you stuck in cpa because advertising is starting to be more than revenue or has your audience reached saturation?
 
if you make 3k$ per month why not find a freelancer in the BHW community and focus your time on marketing and leads?

Update: I’ve invested 20k$ in Development of a future SaaS Idea but unfortunately we failed due to a missing market or basically we did too lees research on the volume so we did shutdown or Website 1 month ago.

I will invest some time and effort in finding something new and keep u up
 
Create an MVP first and sell that to your target audience, this will do several things:

1. Allow for minimal initial investment
2. Allow for faster time to market
3. Allow for feedback and iteration
4. Mitigate risk, allowing testing of your product concept before committing too much time and money

This is still a simplified explanation of the process but you get the idea.

I'm in the process of building a brand with my friend, he's a product designer so we're linking up having researched for a few months.

You should consider finding someone with some experience before venturing out, as there's a lot of boxes to tick before pulling the trigger.

do you have an idea about a tested formula to get started with marketing the service B2B?
I thinking about proposing the service on specific forums or running google ads. Does seams right ?

Marketing is pretty easy actually once you nail down you sass app.
Since you are price matching "product x" you run google ads for that "product x" brand name with the ad copy saying essentially your saas app is y times cheaper than "product x" with following extra functionalities/benefits.
