Create posts or new pages

Hey, starting a new MNS mini authority & review site.


Should I make only pages, or should I use both. Any tips on doing so?
I heard posts were bad as they come with tags/categories leading into duplicate content.
I was thinking:

categories
^
pages
^
posts
^
tags ... if I had posts. and I'd edit the tags to be LSI's or something relevant but not a main kw.


otherwise it would be

categories
^
main page
^
helper page 1 (product one) -> helper page 2 (product two)


Will it matter?

I would suggest making your website base using pages - so, essentially all information pertaining to your core business as pages. Then make use of the blog to create content related to those pages

Categories - Pages - Post.

Few categories / bit more pages / much much unique posts.
