Create blogs to get backlinks?

Hi there, I was thinking how to win some backlinks to my video urls (I have 10 tube sites), and I thought an idea, I think this is nothing new, but I would like to know your opinion and sugerences:

Open free hosting blogs.
Make a RSS with all videos I want to get back links to.
Add a php to that free hosting blogs, to automatically post articles two or three times per week (with a cronjob), with 5 or 10 url links with one or two lines of description each link refering to different sites.

Also I thought, to make this blogs looks more natural, also link to huge sites videos, for example one post with links of my webs, then two days latter other post to huge web pages with authority.

What do you think about this?
Any sugerences or advices ?
Is this a waste of time ?
Is this risky for Seo and could be considered as spam?

I don't know whether it will be spam or anything.. I do something similar and my website gets indexed very fast and I didn't face with any problem by doing this until now.

Sounds similar to having a small private blog network... At first it might not be super effective

But if the pages gain PR over time then they'll give the pages you're trying to rank a nice boost

What do you do ??

This is a good idea, the only thing I would suggest is only adding 1 url per article that you post. This will make thing look more natural.

I also think that its not looking like a manual blog dude.
Make it as less spammy as possible.
don't put more than 1 link per blog.
Don't post huge number of articles per day.
Add Web 2.0, Social bookmarking, and link to other video tubes.

I create blogs on blogspot,wordpress,tumblr and make new posts everyday and put up my links with keywords,ping them.
