Create a Download page for wordpress blog

hello all,

i will be selling ebooks from my wordpress blogs but i need help in creating a download page.

could someone please either point me to a step by step video/pdf.

i want to have a page whereas after customer pays with paypal they can go to a download page to retrieve the ebook.

For each ebook you want to sell:

1. Upload the PDF to your server
2. Make a html document that has the download link on it, as well as any instructions... and DON'T NAME IT DOWNLOAD.HTML etc... too obvious.
3. Set that url as the success/completed page in the Paypal transaction
4. Block search spiders from indexing that page
5. That's it.

I suggested using a new html doc instead of a WP page because it's easier to keep secret, no sense even bothering to charge money for it if people can find the download link right within the WP site.

Please feel free to add to these points if I've missed anything major..

Check the "eshop" plug in for Wordpress. Your client can download from a secured folder using that plug in.

thanks guys. e shop looks interesting but it also looks like it could be hacked. i am a complete noob at this. i don't understand how to load to server. could you break it down a bit further? I know i have a hosting account but how do i load to server?
