Hy.

What do you suggest that will be better for SEO, ranking?

Create a blog on the same domain like:
HTML:
http://www.thesite.com/blog
or create a sub domain like
HTML:
http://blog.thesite.com

Please explain your opinion, why should one be used instead of another.

And we are talking about an offline business website here.

Thank you

I've read a lot that the former is the way to go, as it trickles ranking juice up to the root ie the www.

I'd say the first option. If you're site is a fairly static site without much updating then adding a blog and filling it with fresh original content every so often can only be a good thing. I have a website providing webdesign, seo, tech support and that type of thing which has always been static, other than a few, rare changes here and there. Adding a blog to it and updating it weekly has slightly helped with my ranking and I find that my site gets crawled much more frequently now. And I've also seen an increase in traffic as I must be ranking for some long tails from blog posts and titles.

Thank you, you got a point here and yes, it's a static website....

f you have any other opinion fell free to post it.

Thank you.
