    Hi guys,
haven't worked with Wordpress so a while so please excuse me if this is a stupid question.

How do you do a 301 redirect from
    yoursite.com/myredirect.php to
    anothersite.com

As far as I can tell, there is no built in way to do that, right? I do not want to use meta refresh.

Do you go with 301 redirect plugins?
Do you manually edit your htaccess file?
What's the cleanest way to do this in a wordpress environment?

    Thanks!

There are many different ways on how to do so.
I would so the easiest way is to use a plugin called (301 Redirects By Tony Spiro).
After installing the plugin, you can set redirects via Settings > 301 Redirects.

    Good Luck!

I actually hate plugins, but I guess it'll save me some time as I can then manage the redirects from within WP.
    Thank you!

Edit: That plugin doesn't seem to allow 301 redirects to external pages (only relative paths can be used)

Decided to go with editing the htaccess file manually, as I wasn't too happy with the plugins available.

    Code:
    Redirect 301 /myredirect.php http://anothersite.com/

All you have to do is ftp in to your server and the htaccess file will be in the root of your WordPress install. Open and edit the htaccess file with any text editor and save.
