Hello ,

My partner and I are interested in purchasing a domain. What happens is that they increased the price of the domain by 10x in 1 month.
We've already wasted time on support several times, they basically told us to fuck off
Is there a possibility of the domain lowering its price? Another question is the following, the price is different on godaddy and namecheap.

September -Price 2k now 20k .

These guys are *+++++++ bastards

Is this a domain with great backlink profile? I believe the big registrars have a system to increase the price of the domain if many people are looking into it

the domain has 5 letters and is .io
no ideia about the backlinks , can you take a look please?
Registered till may next year

5 letters and .io for 20k is way too much unless this is a very unique domain (common word).

no chance! They smelled your desire and they'll do everything to rip you off. Capitalist companies (and money-loving people in general) always prey on the desires and weaknesses of other people. Just let this domain go and find another one. If that domain doesn't have SEO value and you're a bit creative you can come up with your own brandable domain after some brain frying

thanks for the tip , I was mad because I wanted to do branding , but anyway I'm going to move on to another

exactly , should wait to check if the price decreases?or just forget about it.
It's always possible to bargain and tell that you'd like to have the domain, but that you have other options (which is also true).
The pricing on domains is really set almost solely based on demand as there are barely any costs (renewal fee is what, max $100/year) and I've previously managed to purchase a $20 000 for $7000 so anything is possible here, but it really varies case to case.

Thanks again, I'm contacting namecheap in order to negotiate the price, but just to see what they say, I don't believe they'll change the price
