    hey guys.

I've just read the payment requirements for my first payment from clickbank.. and I think they're crazy..

I'm new to clickbank and have 8 sales generated.. which is around 400$ in commission.. now I'm reading that I don't get the money till I get sales which are made with at least 5 different card numbers?! wtf?! Really almost everyone pay's with paypal.. From my 8 sales I have only one guy who payed with VISA.. How can I get 5 people to pay with a credit card?!

What did you guys do? Would it bring something to ask clickbank if they could pay anyways? would they do that?

you should ask them if it counts PP too, i guess its most likely they don't pay you if you try Buy products with same card and then ask for refund after payment :)

Email them and i guess youll get the answer

Thats one way of preventing people from opening clickbank accounts just to buy products with their own affiliate link...

But sometimes it sucks when you make a bunch of sales and everyone pays with Paypal.. Wait for a few more sales and when you have a accumulated a sizable amount as commission, just send them an email. They do consider individual cases and could send you your check..

    Regards,

I was unaware of this as well, good enough I didn't promote CB much. I am sticking with my standard CPA networks.

Sell non-digital stuff and most of your sales will be made via CC's ( instead of PP ). Actually, it's not hard to achieve it ! If you have 400$ in your account, ask your friends to buy something from you. Yeah, you will loose some money ( as you'll need to pay back to your friends ) but you'll get it :p

I guess that's a good tactic for them to make a shit load of extra revenue; finding ways in which people will just think "fuck it" and leave the money in their account and forget about it.

It's something everyone that deals with CB has to go through. Took me a couple months when I started..just keep pushin products and it'll happen. The hardest one to get for me was a mastercard sale...by the way PP doesn't count towards the 5 required.

When I first thought I was going to get paid then found the 5 different credit card line I then got some prepaid visa and mastercards from the drug store, made up names and fake addresses from across the country and made some purchases of digital items. Even though I had more than 5 different card numbers it still took months before they finally paid me. I waited and waited then my account went to "suspended". So I emailed and asked why it was "suspended" and why I had never been paid. I never got a response but my account suddenly was no longer suspended and I got paid right away.

If you're doing any serious affiliate marketing you should meet their requirements pretty quickly. My experience is that even if people use PayPal, they use their credit card within PayPal, which still counts as a credit card transaction.

Their policy is annoying if you're just trying to get discounts on your own purchases, but for anyone treating this like a business, it's no big deal.

I think this is the CB policy for newbie first payment. It is to prevent the account holder to purchase from their own affiliate link, which no body have 5 CC at the same time with different name. After first payment every thing goes normal, restriction of 5 different CC lefts from that account.

Correct me guys if i am wrong.

Yep, it's only for that first payment that you need the 5 different CC numbers and no Paypal purchases with credit card attached doesn't count.

I guess it depends on the niche you are promoting as to how people will make their payment. As you have made $400 in sales, it's obvious that you know how to make money through affiliate sales via Clickbank.

So 2 things you can do, the easy way, get some friends to make some purchases, refund them their money, but then you have a few e-books that you can use for content to sell other related e-books/products in that niche.

e.g. you have 5 e-books your mates bought on article marketing, so you play around with the content and make your own e-book. You spin the content and make an "auto" blog that you update 10-15 times a day...etc!

Just promote a non-techie kind of niche till you hit your limit. i.e. people who may be just looking for a solution to a problem, that may not use the internet that often.

When i started with CB, some of those niches where everyone seems to pay by CC are bad credit, yeast infections, get boyfriend/girlfriend!

The majority of the purchases, from my experience, in those niches are from the US and use CC...And yes before you say it, Bad Credit people still spend money, cos they are so desperate for a solution!

Apparently you already have something that sells. Just keep on marketing this. This rule is for the person looking for 1/2 price CB products (as mentioned earlier). But to call CB crap? C'mon.

$400 is pretty small in the overall goal of your marketing. Just keep it at it.

    I just emailed them...

They told me that you either need five different credit cards or two different types of payment, so paypal/visa/mastercard.

Once you get these on your first check you never need them again though.
