Crazy idea or I've lost my mind. (Maybe both)

I will admit, this is my first post (outside of my intro) but I found a response on tracking search terms, that made me say "huh" If you can track search terms, are you able to use that to locate potential bots.

I may be wrong so please correct me if I am

The articles online about an election have key words in them. If you can find those terms (like Biden, Sanders, Putin) couldn't you track them and figure out who puts out articles with those terms most, and use the content to gather information that in someway is useful if not profitable. I CANNOT be the only one who's thought along those lines. And having links to potential hackers, or bots if varifiable must be worth something.

So let me know
